this is a lesson to cover cd parts with polymerclay , you can use the cd parts for making jewelry or to make little book covers .
materials:
two pieces of 1/4 cd parts.
black polymerclay.
pearlex powders.
take one cd and make it warm in hot water, than you can cut it beter with a normale sissor.
you can also cut smaller pieces.
i have cut these pieces for a little cd part mini book.
take two 1/4 cd parts
take a piece of black polymerclay
make the polymerclay soft .
roll your fimo  out in a
3 a 4 mm thick layer.
take one cd part and cover it with the layer clay, cut out the cd shape with a knife.
now you must look iff there are no airbubbles between the cd piece and the clay.
now you must do the same with the other cd part.
now you have two covered cd parts with polymerclay.
you can stamp images in the clay.
take little stamps.
here i used a big celticknot stamp for the front of the mini book.
now you  three diffrent colors of pearlex powders and go brush  them on the clay.
i always use a soft make up brush to brush the powders on the clay.
iff you have brushed all the colors on you can bake the cd parts in the oven on the same temp. when you always bake your polymerclay on.
when they come out of the oven , give them a  layer of varnish.
now your covered cd pieces are finished.
you can glue a pin on the back or you can use them to glue on books or for making other jewelry.
do you like to make a mini book from this covered cd pieces  click on the picture of the mini book.
